This video series gives tips on dealing with colors.
In this 6th installment of the How to Game art series, we take a first look at colors on the computer. The next video will talk more specifically about color palettes and how to create them.
There is a common technique we needed to tackle before jumping onto the creation of color palettes: Hue Shifting. How does it work? That's what we'll look at in this tutorial!
Now that we know how to hue shift like the pros, we are ready to tackle color palettes. They are the painter's ammunition: emotionally loaded cartridges to shoot on the canvas. They help us to shape both our creations' form and their content.
This How to Game Art takes off where the last one ended, and shows 2 more approaches you can take to start building your color palettes.
Don't stop here. Step-by-step tutorials are fun but they only take you so far.
