9-slice scaling

Nine-slice scaling is a method of scaling textures that isolates the borders so they don't have to stretch and get deformed.

For example, if the texture on the left gets stretched, the borders are deformed: An example of a texture without 9-slice scaling

But with 9-slice scaling, the corners are isolated and remain aesthetically pleasing: An example of a texture with 9-slice scaling
